Communication is enough for a diner
Miss Hanna Therese Jimeno business owner of Wiskeey’s Diner also known to be good at making an impressive and delicious menu in Barangay San Nicolas, Gandon City. The woman who encourages and motivates herself to strive harder until she will enjoy a peaceful and confident life eventually emerged from her shell. She is also a News Anchor at DZTP/ Tirad Pass Network also located in Gandon City. Ms. Jimeno never forgot the times that she was anxious and felt unhappy working in a field that she knew she couldn’t spread her wings, which is one of the many reasons she was encouraged to save money and finally to fulfill her dream diner. “Working in Casino made me realize that being an employee is also not for me, that pushes me to saved money and became the boss that I want to be’’
She once before a College student at Saint Louis University Baguio City under the Bachelor of Arts in Communication Program who is also like other students ranting about how hard College is. “When I was in college writing hard stories makes me feel not myself because I am more confident in speaking’’ But she never forgot those times which encouraged her to not only stress about the things that she cannot do but to express her passion in communication by always pushing herself to take risks that help her grow until she continues to learn in writing. Ms. Jimeno uses her own experience as an instrument to show everyone on how she became stronger and bold. “I trust myself, even a lot of people give an opinion about me handling a diner at an early age. That doesn’t stop me to believe that I can do it. Even some of them are my parents.’’
Being the strong and independent woman she is, Ms. Jimeno loves her family very much to the point that losing them scares her the most ‘’I don’t want to lose my parents because my hard work will be worthless without them seeing my success’’. Despite all the negative things that happened to her, Ms. Jimeno’s parents raise her to be the woman that everyone will look up to. ‘’You know what, when I was a kid, I always want to be seen on TV and believe me or not, I want to be a celebrity’’ she said. Becoming a media practitioner, she believes that a journalist should be always true to the message that they convey to the people and cannot be manipulated. ‘’Press freedom manipulation is happening and I’ve witnessed how dirty they can be just to clean their names. And I will never wish to sugar coat anything that I’m going to say because that can erase my dignity not only as a journalist but as a person’’.
Ms. Jimeno is a living example that always taking risks will never miss a chance. “You Never Know Unless You Try” and achieving your dreams without harming others is real genuine happiness.
